-
Do I need a partner? No you do not need a partner. You will be rotated and get to dance with everyone there, so it's really social too!
-
Is there any parking for the Barry class?Sadly, due to the new resident parking rules, directly outside the venue is resident only. Recently we have noticed enforcement vehicles, so please do not park outside if you can help it. The venue does have a small car park next door fits about 10 cars, however, as it's just us there, we all bunch up and block each other in and we fit many more in! Please only park here if you are staying for the full duration of the class otherwise it will be a pain to ask people to move their cars for you! Clive Road and Phyllis Street are the nearest parking locations that are not restricted parking. The nearest free parking are the two hour parking spaces further up from the club in Redbrink Crescent, the nearest paid parking would be down at the beach. Cars can be parked in Phylis Street and Clive Road which do not have parking restrictions and is within walking distance.
-
Do I have to wear anything special? No, classes are very casual so wear something comfortable and layers for when you get hot!
-
Is this a course? No this is not a course. New beginners join us every week, and it doesn't matter if you miss a week or two, you will soon pick it back up!
-
Is there any parking for the Pyle Class?Yes, there is plenty of parking in the Club's car park.
-
Can I bring my own drinks?Water yes. But as we are operating a very reasonably priced bar at our classes we like our dancers to support that, therefore own drinks are not permitted.
-
How much are the classes?Just £5 per person, currently payable with cash or card.
-
Can I stay fixed with my partner?Of course you can. However I do discourage it because: 1 - You will not get the benefit of the social side of rock n roll! 2 - You may get into bad habits with each other! 3 - Leaders may not properly get to lead, and follows may not properly get to follow, which means when you are asked to dance by others, you may struggle.
-
What is the format for the evening?Doors open 7.30pm Stroll warm up 7.45pm Beginner class 8pm Practise time 8.30pm Improvers class 8.45pm Music and dancing 9.15pm Close 10pm

Why do I have to book online?Due to the nature of event, and the fact that we enjoy cake as part of the deal, I like to ensure that everyone get's a seat...and I know how many to cater for! The venue can fit 120 comfortably and that's also plenty of people to create a lovely atmosphere. If everyone just pays on the door, there is the possibility of turning people away, so booking online helps me to manage that. Of course I understand not everyone has the tech to do this...if this is the case, please call me on 07446 091026.
